Tiziri Surf Experience Of A Finnish Girl

I’ve spent now 3 weeks with Tiziri Surf Maroc in Tamraght. Tamraght is a small fisherman village with a lot of surf schools. The closest surf spots are Devil’s Rock and Crocro beach. Tamraght has a really laidback atmosphere and it is safe also for a female solo traveller. There are a few nice restaurants and cafes to enjoy some food and drinks after surfing.

 

Tiziri Surf House is located on the top of the hill, 10 minutes walk from the beach. The house is brand new, clean and it is decorated with a traditional Moroccan style. You can choose between a private room or a shared dorm. There is a small yard with a lawn downstairs and roof top with amazing view to the ocean. The kitchen and the living room are at the same cozy space with a big dining table and comfortable sofas. From TV you can watch your surf pictures or YouTube videos of the pro surfers.

 

Tiziri Surf Maroc offers breakfast, packed lunch to the beach and dinner. The food is very tasty and of course traditional Moroccan flavors. There are always a lot of choices at breakfast and lunches/dinners have variety each day. You are getting spoiled with the food for sure. A big shout out for Soumia, the girl who cooked all the amazing food, thank you so much!

 

They offer you surf lessons for all different levels. The instructors have many years of experience at teaching and are very professional. Every morning they check the surf spots and decide where it is best to surf that day. In the morning you’ll have one surf session, then lunch break at the beach and another surf session in the afternoon. Could life get any better than that?

 

In addition to surf lessons they offer you for example day trips to Paradise Valley, Essaouira and Imsouane (the longest right hand wave in Morocco). You can have a yoga lesson at the roof top and trust me, after all that surfing your body will need some stretching. Also you can try sand boarding at the sand dunes, which is almost as fun as surfing (cause nothing beats surfing, right?).

 

Overall I can truly recommend Tiziri Surf Maroc for a Moroccan surfing experience, no matter if you have previous surfing experience or not.
